Welcome to ncis_fic, your new home for all your NCIS fanfic desires! Here we offer prompts, fic searches, challenges, requests, and most of all, FIC!

Fic of all genres, types, ratings, pairings and characters are welcome here. Post it all! We want it here! :) The more fic, the better! Everyone is welcome to post any and all fic they would like. You are also invited to rec good fic if you find it.

We ask only that you follow a few very simple rules when posting fic.



Fic headers

Everyone likes to know what they're getting into before they get there. Also, you'll find that you'll have more and happier readers if you announce your pairing, rating, genre, etc. when you post fic. Here's a sample header for you to use. You may use all, most, or only some of this header:

Things we really must insist on

Genre, Rating, Spoilers

You absolutely MUST warn for spoilers for the current and last season. (Currently, that would be seasons 5 and 6.) A lot of people really hate spoilers, so you HAVE to warn for them, even mild ones! And since we will have members who are under 18 or who prefer not to read explicit sexual material, you MUST include a rating, whether you use the MPAA style (PG, R, NC-17) or whether you use the FRRS (Child, Teen, Mature, Adult).

Niceness

If you don't like a story, you don't like it. Hey, everything's not for everybody. But seriously, do not flame anyone on this community. It's a sure way to get yourself banned. If you can't leave constructive criticism, or feel that a story is so bad it absolutely must be sporked, do so at fanficrants. That's what they're there for.

Open Communication

If you have a problem, question, concern, complaint, et cetera, LET US KNOW! You can leave a comment on any mod post, or you can email the mods (addresses below).

Plagiarism

Absolutely not on, people. DO NOT plagiarize a story and then post it to this comm. You will be deleted and banned so fast it'll make your head spin, and we'll tell the entire fandom about you. Do not test us on this, we do not play.



Tags

Tags are fabulous things. We have a sizeable list of available tags, and if you wish to tag your fic, that would be great! Feel free. However, if you don't want to, or don't know which tags you should use, we'll do it for you. If you see an untagged post in the comm and are of a mind to, feel free to tag it. Also, if you would like a tag that doesn't exist, let us know and we'll be happy to add it for you.

Off-topic Chatter

For the most part, we'd like to keep this comm fanfic-focused. However, we understand that there are times when you need to ask a question, are looking for some assistance with canon information, or want to squee about a new episode. That's great! Go for it. (We even have a tag for that!) We understand that our members are what makes this comm great, and we welcome you to interact and help each other keep things fun.
